Advice for start-ups
Client Request: I want a 10 page website, logo, brochure and business card. But I can’t afford everything at once. I am about $1000 short.
Lynny says: Get the Logo designed so it can be incorporated into all the other products and marketing tools. Buy a domain name (website address); www.CanzDesign.com will l host it. We will make an email address for you, using your new domain name… we’ll put a coming soon page with your logo, an email address, and other contact details, so visitors can get in touch with your for your services.
Next: Have the business card and brochure designed and printed. Both will have your logo, email address and website address on it. That gives you a couple of weeks to decide how to proceed with the website details.
After discussing her online marketing plan with her, I encouraged the client to go with a brochure site (1 page website), since she didn’t plan to start selling online at this stage.
I suggest a properly optimized one page brochure website, with a company logo, contact details, two or three images, and an introduction to your business. If you want more information or services added to your website at a later time we can do that.
End Result: Client saved $100 of what she had, and got what she really needed. Six months later, she had drip feed CanzDesign the money required for more 4 webpages, the client had extra pages added to her website, 9 months later 2 more pages where added... etc
