How to set up a website email address in Microsoft Outlook
Set up your website email Open Microsoft outlook
Click Tools - E-mail Accounts…
Choose Add a new e-mail account. Click next
Choose POP3. Click Next

Internet Email Settings (POP3)
User Information
Your Name: This is the name people see when they receive emails from you
Email address: emailname@website.com

Logon Information
User Name: insert the username assigned to your email address
Password: your password goes here

Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.website.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.website.com*

 

*If you are also using an ISP email address you may have to set the Outgoing mail server to your ISP settings which would be something like: smtp.xtra.co.nz

**If you are configuring an ISP email provided by your internet service provider:
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.xtra.co.nz (or your ISPs website address)
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.xtra.co.nz (or your ISPs website address)

When you have completed the Incoming and Outgoing server information click the More Settings button.
Click the General tab
Reply Email: Add your new email address to the text box
Mail Account: outlook will use the name of your incoming server by default. You can change this to something easier recognised; E.G. website mail or the name of your website.
When you are finished click ok

Test Account Settings sends a test email to the new email address using the settings you have just entered.
Check that your settings are correct and click Next
You will see your newly added email identity in the Email accounts dialog window.
Click Finish to complete the process.
NOTE: To edit email existing email accounts: Click Tools – Email Accounts…. View or change existing email accounts.


How to set up a website email address in Outlook Express
Open Outlook Express
Click Tools then Accounts…
Internet Accounts dialog window click the Add button and choose Mail…
Display Name: Add the name or word you would like people to see when they receive your email. Click Next.
Internet Email Address
Email Address: emailname@website.com. Click Next.
Email Server Names
My incoming mail server is a POP3 server (Chose POP3 in the drop down options)
Incoming Mail server: mail.website.com
Outgoing Mail: mail.website.com *

* If you are also using an ISP email address on your computer you may have to set the Outgoing mail server to your ISP settings which would be something like: smtp.xtra.co.nz

**If you are adding an ISP email address provided by your internet service provider use these settings:

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.xtra.co.nz (or your ISPs website address)

Click Next
Internet Mail Logon
Account Name: username@website.com
Password: type in your password
Make sure to check remember my password. Click Next.
Congratulations
Click finish

Internet Accounts dialog window
Locate the email address you have just added and double click it.
Click the General tab.
Mail Account
This can be changed or left the default. If you plan on adding several email addresses you should change this to something you can identify the account with E.G. Website Email

User Information
Name: Change your name or leave what you have entered
Organization: Your Company name here or leave blank
Email Address: username@website.com
Reply Address: username@website.com
Click Apply then OK
Click Close to complete.
NOTE: To edit existing email accounts: click tools then Accounts… double click on the email account you would like to edit
