Key Phrases or Keywords, are what People Search For….

SEO 1 SEO 2
I mention keyphrases rather than keywords. Everyone goes on about keywords…but very few people type one word into a search engine.

If you want to buy honey and you live in a town called Tauranga, you don’t just type in Honey…I just did and there were 80,700,000 results the first one being for a movie called Honey.

They tend to write a phase something like: honey for sale Tauranga, for this search we are down to 17,900 results which is much more realistic. If I use the search phases: honey “for sale” Tauranga, we’re down to 893 search results. Still the first result is for a honey of a house for sale. A search for “honey for sale in Tauranga” has absolutely no results; that’s because no honey sellers in Tauranga have that exact phase on their website. Not everyone knows how to do exact searches but you can see how a key phase is much more workable than a keyword.

So in summing up: having a website made and online, doesn’t guarantee it will be seen by the search engines and bring in business.
Even if search engines have been to your website; if it isn’t properly optimised they may not index all of the pages and information you have. If search engines do not index your entire site then the only visitors you will have are people you send the website address to.

If you pay someone with a thorough understanding of SEO and all it can accomplish your website will be seen by any potential clients that are looking for your services.
